WP addresses Gutenberg Issues
WPTavern, a news site owned by Automattic, addressed the disconnect between WordPress users and Automattic Developers at https://wptavern.com/gutenbergs-project-leadership-sits-down-with-new-outreach-team-to-discuss-problems-with-the-site-editor.
The gist of the article addresses the need for Automattic to have an outreach team for WP users. Web developers and designers are frustrated with “You just need more training” when working with Gutenberg. WordPress is meant to allow all users to create websites. Gutenberg hinders that ability with an interface that is not intuitive. An outreach program could bridge that gap between WP users and Automattic.
I am glad that Automattic is using their new online asset to communicate to WordPress users. If this is the direction the blog site is going, I am all for it.
I am an extremely busy individual. I do not have time for WordPress meetings or Slack groups. I want to have time to participate in the WP community. There is just not enough time. Providing a web space to openly discusses WP issues allows me to feel like I can partcipate despite my time limitations.
