I’m starting a new comic story called Mythos. It is a crossover story I wanted to tell but didn’t know how I would tell it. The story is very meta, which I am nervous about. Sometimes I feel my meta fiction is arrogant and narcissistic. But I am not a writer. I can only approach my writing projects as I do with my drawing. I start with a rough sketch and then I flesh things out.
Like with my webcomics I am using 8×11 Bristol. I just want to get this story out of my head and out of my files. I hope I can communicate how my comics work in my head with this new story. I also hope I can retire some old childhood ideas that have been ruminating in my head for decades.
