Knowledge Fight
I discovered the podcast Knowledge Fight through another favorite, Behind the Bastards. Knowledge Fight deconstructs and debunks the conspiracy-laden rhetoric of InfoWars—and listening to it has been eye-opening in ways I didn’t expect.
The more I absorbed, the more I started reflecting on a community I used to be part of: the Real-Life Superhero scene. Back then, I thought we were crusading for justice. Looking back now, I see how many alt-right ideologies were lurking beneath the surface. I even had a friend who imitated Alex Jones so thoroughly, it was like watching cosplay—complete with his tone and gestures. At the time, I didn’t understand the depth of the waters I was wading into. Edgelords with dopy names seemed quirky then. Now they feel like warning signs.
This past year, I’ve been digging into actual U.S. history—not the sanitized textbook version, but the systemic truths we’re often shielded from. And the more I learn, the clearer it becomes: we’re not in a culture war. We’re living through class warfare. This isn’t new. America has cycled through this struggle again and again. Somehow, we keep forgetting the lessons.
It’s strange to think about how I used to feel righteous reporting shoplifters. Meanwhile, the powerful are looting entire systems in plain sight—and getting away with it.
