This is my journey in rediscovering the role of spirituality in my life. I am a certified minister for the Universal Life Church.
The American Christian Nationalism have corrupted and obfuscated the spirit behind the teachings of Jesus Christ (Jeshua ben Josef). Instead of embracing science and truth to re-evaluate one’s belief system, the wealthy have decided to redesign religion and education to abuse people. Therefore, I have decided to reject government sponsored religion.
The ULC follows two core tenants:
Source: About the Universal Life Church
- Do only that which is right.
- Every individual is free to practice their religion however they like as long as their actions do not impinge upon the rights or freedoms of others and are in accordance with the law.
The ULC believes in individual spiritual freedom and social justice. A belief system that actively promotes the abuse and death of other humans is not worthy of following.
My journey to rediscover the nature of spirituality begins with the Abrahamic religions. I recognize that Judaism descends from Canaanite polytheism and was influenced by Proto-Iranian beliefs. American Christian Nationalism, however, rejects its religious origins in favor of a fictional mythos that positions the United States as a champion of morality, despite historical evidence to the contrary.
In my process, I want to learn about beliefs from around the world. Spirituality is important to the health of the human brain. There are many forms of spirituality that should not be confined to European and American colonial mentalities. Spirituality is also an important link to the past, and that past is not limited to Europe and the Middle East.
