I read a comment from someone in Europe condemning U.S. citizens for not rising up and protest. I took offense to the comment. I feel guilt for not doing more. I am constantly working. I barely can do the dishes or laundry. But they are right, we should rise up. But we can’t. For the self-proclaimed “land of the free” none of us are free. The system is rigged to where we can only focus on food and housing. We are unable to understand what is going on because we are busy keeping our kids warm.
U.S. Citizens did relay this information to the European commentor. Other people clapped back with how lazy Americans are. Perhaps they are right. What I know is that I am 47 years old. I have a job where I am always on the cusp of being fired. I have no savings nor real retirement. Social Security is a joke. We have no social safety net. I am worried about my roof leaking and my kids being healthy. I am worried about keeping the lights on and the house heated. I am worried about how to get to work and back on the fuel that I have. And everyone in power is telling me that I should be thankful for what I have. Everyone in power promotes the death race called Capitalism. Everyone that is in the poverty level or even the middle class level are nothing more than serifs working their lords land. The United States Government is a modified monarchy. It is not a democracy. We are unable to rise against the crown. Well, we can if we are white and Republican. That is what happened on J6.
