Reaction to Google Confirms That Structured Data Won’t Make A Site Rank Better

I recently took an SEO optimization class that was very informative about structuring website meta data. While I believe SEO is crucial for informing search engines about a website’s content, I never believed that good SEO alone improves Google rankings.

Content and user engagement seem much more important than website structure. I’ve visited poorly coded websites that were very popular and beautifully coded websites with little traffic. Content will always triumph. No amount of optimization or keyword trickery will ever surpass engaging content.
